The Faculty is committed to a high-quality research culture. The research output is the primary positioning feature of each department and thus, in total, that of the entire Faculty. The Faculty attaches importance to publishing its research achievements in an appropriate manner. For the evaluation of research, the Faculty developed its own research evaluation concept and adopted it on 12 December 2014.
The departments and institutes record their publications annually using the software Boris. The Vice-Rectorate Research evaluates the data and sends them to the Faculty once a year. In addition to publications and the corresponding bibliometric indicators (citations, number of ranked journals, maximum ranking, Google Scholar Citations), the number of doctoral degrees (by institute size) and the third-party funds administrated (by institute size) serve as indicators. The results of the research evaluation are discussed in the departments and institutes.
